LA's Daedelus (real name - Alfred Darlington, occupation - eclectic, Victoriana-loving music maker) is one of Ninja's musical experts - a true jack of all trades and, erm, master of them all too. Classically-trained at a young age, Daedelus has a background that encompasses everything from jazz through to hardcore dance, and started off as a drum and bass DJ in the late nineties.
It soon became clear that it wasn't drum and bass he was doing - in fact, there probably wasn't a name for it. Over the last five or so years, Daedelus has become well known for his experimental style, backing up alt hip-hop's elite. He's provided beats and loops for Busdriver and Madlib and has had MF Doom and Mike Ladd cropping up on his own releases.
